Toxic Detergents & Persponal Care Products
Introduction
A major
focus of this newsletter since its creation has been to inform its readers on
conditions that could be a hazard to our health. Most of these hazards come from fossil fuels
and chemicals in our air, our water, and our food. Products available through Future Technologies
can solve many of these problems.
We have
also discussed electronic pollution in the home and nearly every space we could
occupy. Products that solve these
problems are also available through Future Technologies. What is seldom discussed,
however, is toxic chemicals in products that can be found on supermarket
shelves: soaps, detergents, cleaning liquids, lotions, perfumes and creams.
Laundry Detergents
I
recently read an article by Don Harkins, editor of the Idaho Observer. He wrote about Mrs. Lockridge
who suffered from chemical toxicity. She
has to be very careful about the products she buys. According to her investigations nearly all
dish and laundry soaps contain surfacants, bonding
agents for toxic metals like aluminum which is also in the detergents. These toxic chemicals remain in our clothing
to be absorbed by our bodies. Have you
ever read the labels on many of these products. Have you ever wondered why many of them, like
laundry detergents and general purpose cleaners, have labels that read: Keep
out of the reach of children?
This Idaho Observer article led me to inquire
over the Internet to discover any other products we use in our homes and put on
our bodies that are also toxic. Here is just a small portion of what I
found.

Do you
know there are potentially harmful ingredients in over 90 percent of the personal
care products on the market, products you and your family probably use? You can
find these in the ingredients of toothpaste, shampoos, for both people and pets,conditioners, moisturizers,
sunscreens, deodorants, and the list goes on. Some especially harmful ingredients
you should check your labels for are: Sodium
Laurel Sulfate; Sodium Laureate Sulfate; Mineral Oil; Glycerin; and Propylene
Glycol.
In a
study conducted by Keith Green, Ph.D., formerly of the Medical College of Georgia,
SLR (Sodium Laurel Sulfate) and SLOES (Sodium
Laureate Sulfate) retards healing and keeps children's eyes from developing
properly, can cause cataracts in adults, and delays in the healing of wounds in
the surface of the cornea. They can build up in the heart, liver, lungs and
brain and SLR is such a caustic cleanser that it actually corrodes the hair
follicle and impairs its ability to grow hair. So the shampoo you use could actually
be causing your hair to fall out!
Material
Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on propylene
glycol indicate that contact with the skin can cause liver abnormalities
and kidney damage. In many cosmetics, propylene glycol makes up 10% to 20% of
typical product formulations. (Note: on most ingredient-content statements,
propylene glycol is often found near the top of the list, indicating its strong
concentration.)
USA Today
(Friday, February 27, 1998) has reported that DEA (diethanolamine) is dangerous! Yet hundreds
of shampoos, bubble baths and personal care products still contain DEA today!
As reported on CBS Morning News today, the National Toxicology Program (NTP) recently
found that repeated skin application to mouse skin, of DEA, or its fatty acid derivative cocamide-DEA,
induced liver and kidney cancer. Besides this "clear evidence of carcinogenicity, NTP also emphasized that DEA is readily absorbed through the
skin and accumulates in organs, such as the brain, where it induces chronic
toxic effects.
Mineral Oil - This ingredient is derived from
petroleum and is used industrially in machine shops as a cutting fluid and
lubricating oil. Used in cosmetics as a moisturizer, mineral oil may form a film
that repels water and keeps moisture locked in the skin. This is called the
"saran wrap" method. By holding water in the skin, it is believed
that older, dried skin will become softer, smoother and younger looking. The
mineral oil film not only can trap in moisture, but also toxins, carbon dioxide,
wastes and byproducts the skin is trying to eliminate. Conversely, it may also
keep oxygen out. The skin is a living, breathing organ and it needs to respire.
When toxins and wastes are trapped in and oxygen is kept out, the skin is
forced into an unhealthy state.
Steric Acid is a
chemical found in shaving creams, soaps and lotions. Some studies have shown
that Steric Acid raises cholesterol.
95% of
chemicals used in fragrances are synthetic compounds derived from petroleum. They include benzene derivatives,aldehydes and many
other known toxics and sensitizers - capable of
causing cancer, birth defects, central nervous system disorders and allergic reactions.

I have
only scratched the surface here. The list is endless. I believe that
practically all products we use on our bodies and in our household have one or
more chemicals that can be hazardous to our health: soaps, shampoos, lotions,
mouthwash, toothpaste, shaving cream, deodorants, hair dyes and sprays. Toxins are also found in cleaners, detergents,
and dishwashing liquids.
A Search for Healthy Replacements
I am constantly searching for healthy
products to replace the likes of which we have just discussed. I attend Whole Life Expos, seminars and conferences
on health where I often find products not found on supermarket shelves, but usually
far superior to them. Earlier this year
I attended such an event, the semiannual Global Science Congress. It was there that I discovered the most
amazing line of products that its inventor has been marketing for the past 12
years and is now selling the products worldwide. Thousands of people are
writing to the companys owner telling him of the amazing results they are
achieving with his products. He calls
the products Miracle
II which I, and several of my friends, have been testing for the last few
months. Here are my findings. As a result of my using the
products for the past two months.
We, like many Miracle II users, are also achieving amazing results. I

who has been observing the effects of natural cosmic radiation since 1956, says
it is due to the polarity of atomic radiation that determines whether it will
be harmful or beneficial to humans.
Ethel believes that atoms in the cells of human tissue vibrate in a
clockwise fashion. When the body is
injured, or becomes ill, they flow counter-clockwise. The exposure of injured tissue to atoms
vibrating in a clockwise direction, as in natural radiation, will polarize the
injured tissue to return to normal.
Predatory insects, on the other hand, have atoms vibrating in a
counter-clockwise direction and find it intolerable when exposed to a clockwise
flow of atoms.

stainless steel, fiberglass, automobile, mildew, soot on brick and stone. Miracle II Soap Add 2 oz to 32 oz spray bottle
#3 Heavy Cleaning: Floors, grease traps, drains, pots, pans, dishes, ovens,
glass fireplace doors, white side wall tires, bad carpet stains, holding tanks
on campers, clothes, wax stripper, steam cleaning, oil on carports, crazy glue
cleanup. Add 4 oz of Miracle II Soap to
32 oz of water in a spray bottle.
Other Cleaning &
Deodorizing
Use equal amounts of water and Neutralizer in all of the following
mixes.
Put mixture in a spray bottle. Miracle II Neutralizer has no cover-up odor -
just a clean no-odor scent.
Spray on strong odors such as foot,
skin, fish, seafood, onion, garlic, dog, cat, refrigerators, bathrooms, hunting
clothes, holding tanks on bass boats & campers, odors in carpets &
leave it on.
Oven Cleaning: Use #3 Heavy cleaning spray bottle. Heat oven to warm then turn off. Spray well. Let set for 2-3 hours or over night if possible. Just wipe
away with cloth or sponge. You dont even need gloves!!! Can you believe cleaning an oven - and getting
a hand treatment at the same time?
Spot Cleaning for
Carpets: Use #2 Medium spray bottle. Spray spots; brush, then towel
up. If stain has been on carpet for a long time, and it will not clean up this
way, spray again and lay a damp cloth on the spot leave on overnight. Spray
brush again and towel up. This will take care of 99% of your spots.
Washing Clothes: Use 1/2 to 1 oz of Soap per average
load. To soften
and deodorize: add 1 oz of Neutralizer.
Spots on Clothes: Spray on and let stand for 2 hours
before you put into washing machine. Use from 1/2 to 1 oz Miracle Soap in
machine. If the spot is on something you are wearing, spray the spot and towel
off. It will not burn the skin.
Wax Stripper: Spray Miracle II Soap on the dry floor. Let stand about 5
minutes. Then wet with water. Mop or use scrubber. Miracle Soap will not harm
your no wax" floors. Try it and see the floor shine.
Gardeners: To kill insects on plants with Miracle II Soap - Add 1/4 oz to 32 oz
spray bottle of water or 1 oz per gallon. For tender plants like flowers use 7
drops Neutralizer & 7 drops Soap per gallon. Spray plant. If you see insects,
spray extra.
Washing Vegetables Add 1
oz Neutralizer to
water. This will cause the parasites and pollution to be removed.
Cooking Dried Beans:
When you soak the beans overnight, add 1 oz Neutralizer to the water.
When you pre-boil for 15 minutes, add 1 oz Neutralizer and drain. After that,
cook them. Miracle II will neutralize
the gas in the beans.
Insects: Wasps - Roaches - Spiders -
Water Bugs Bees. Get a trigger
sprayer. Add 1 oz Soap & fill with water. Spray insects. Everyone has reported
great results & those using Miracle II in a total cleanup said they stopped
having bug problems in 30 days.
Fire Ants: Use 1 oz Soap to one gallon of water or use your bath water. Stir up
ant bed and pour solution on them. If you do this early and late - you will
kill more of them.
Fleas and Ticks: Shampoo dog and cat with Soap - rinse. Then spray Neutralizer
and let dry. You will never use anything else.
Will not hurt their eyes. Heals rashes &
cuts on dogs, cats & horses. Animal lovers will love it.
Litter Box: Spray with Neutralizer - will take odor away.
Auto & Trucks: Use enough Soap in a pail to get good suds (about 1 oz to 5
gallons of water) It will make the paint shine plus give you a skin treatment.
Citric Tree Blight: Spray Neutralizer on trees. Try on
any tree, bush or flower for crop growth.
Other Uses of Miracle
